Wow – I am feeling pretty blessed this morning because my 61st birthday yesterday was pretty dang amazing!! It’s been a wonderful couple of days filled with loved ones, great food, awesome gifts and tons of well wishes!

First the loved ones – Of course Brett is here making a bazillion preparations and arrangements, cleaning house and making me feel like a Queen. Then Thursday night my niece and 4 year old grand nephew came up from Long Island to spend two nights and that is always fun if not a little exhausting. LOL! OMG where does 4 year old energy come from!? They will be heading home later today so I am taking a few quiet moments while he is still asleep to write this and check in with you all. 🙂

And then yesterday Myke (my ex that I think of as my annoying but much loved baby brother) came up from NY with the “spawn”, aka my favorite concert buddy. He went to the trouble of making us all a vegan Indian feast which was quite delicious! I truly appreciate everyone going along with my desire to incorporate more plant-based meals into my life and would have been willing to go with a “what-does-everyone-else-want-to-eat” mindset but they decided – my birthday/my choice and luckily everyone else seemed to enjoy it as much as I did! Yay! Oh and yes there were pics but I can’t really post their pics to my adult oriented site as I am sure you can understand. <wink>

Gifts – oh my GOSH There were some great gifts! Brett got me the latest greatest Fitbit because my older model had started getting a bit squirrely, as well as a fabulous new seat for my stationary bike that I cannot WAIT to try and most romantically of all – he had a custom picture made with out names. wedding date and the lyrics to “Our Song” – Stay with you” by the Goo goo dolls. It is soooo sweet, I cried. 🙂 my niece got me this really cool self heating tea cup so my tea will stay at the perfect temp wherever I go, Myke and “spawn” gave me a bunch of tanks to go with the backpack-able camp stove they gave me at Christmas. I want to dip my toe into thru-hiking. like maybe start with an overnight or two but I am NOT going if I can’t have a morning cuppa. 😉

So many of my my beloved clients sent me surprises it truly warmed my heart! I got a couple of lovely gifts in the mail – like some sexy clothes and things from my wish list and I am told there is at least one more on the way. <grin> There were also a couple of gifts thru Zelle as well as Amazon gift cards (both are ALWAYS welcome). And then OMG – a fairly new sissy of mine sent me a – (drumroll please) ….. $200 gift card to TICKETMASTER!! Talk about knowing the way to my freaking heart!! It totally made me shriek out loud a little when I opened that email and now I am excitedly trying to decide what concert I am going to treat myself to next! I already have a few in the calendar between now and the BIG one in Vegas in Oct but I cannot wait to add more!

Whew and I really loved how many text messages, Facebook and Fetlife messages, phone calls and cards I got this week! It makes me feel so loved and appreciated. Thank you ALL so much!!
