Wow! That was a wonderful week away and really needed! Fort Lauderdale was a bit chillier than we had hoped but it was definitely warmer than Connecticut! I really liked our little boutique hotel “The Sea Club Resort” even if it was a little old. Lavonda the desk clerk upgraded us to a suite with a wonderful view and I absolutely loved the king bed and balcony!

Our first full day there we hit Biscayne National Park to check off another park from our list and it was a really lovely day out on the water and exploring so much of this beautiful park including Billy’s Point, Elliot Key, the “spite highway”, Boca Chita, and Stiltsville.

On my birthday we explored the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, went to Wild Thyme for a fantastic surf and turf dinner!

Then it was time to head to the port to start our 4 night cruise to Key West and the Bahamas! We had wonderful excursions in both locations and I loved seeing and meeting the dolphins at Blue Lagoon Island most of all! Brett booked us concierge level so we had a great cabin with a balcony to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets!

But as much fun as all that was, it is really nice to be home again! (I missed the kitties like crazy) AND a bunch of new toys arrived in the mail – check these out! I can hardly wait to try them out on some lucky people!
