The Hanged Man

Sunday night at the con, my buddy Christo asked if I could toss him up into the hanged man pose once again.  I did this same suspension tie on him last year but the rig that was available to us was a fair bit shorter so his head was actually barely off the floor causing his hair to drag on the floor and his foot was actually higher than my suspension ring as I recall.  All in all .. not an impressive presentation.

This tie has special significance for him and I could tell that he really wanted this shot so I quickly agreed and we hunted down the tallest rig at the event and I took my time rigging him while we hoped that someone would track down David Lawrence or his lovely slave Judy for us since they were the official Shibaricon photo folks this year.

As I worked, another couple grabbed chairs nearby indicating that they were waiting on the rig and there was still no sign of a photographer.  I was beginning to worry that my poor little friend was going to be “SOOL” when my Brett came back and informed us that David was photographing Tatu’s Tea Ceremony and was going to come over in just a few minutes.  It was time to stop stalling and get him fully inverted and tied off!

This is a pretty challenging tie to be in for any length of time so it was important to time it as well as possible to optimize the flight to photo time!  I was pleased with the few photos that David sent to me and will be adding them as a gallery here soon.  In the meantime I hope you enjoy this one!

<LOL> Glancing at it again, it reminds me of those shots of the “big game” fishermen with thei prize catch hanging beside them… all that is missing is the hook! <grin>
