So it was one year ago this week, that I bought my first home! March 30th 2010 to be precise and even though I fell in love with it at first sight and placed a deposit on it in less than a week, there was a ton of stuff that needed to be done.

Walls came down, walls went up, faux fireplace boards that took weeks and weeks to strip down to bare wood and weeks and weeks of painting every room in the house. Yes there were definitely more projects that had to be done than I could possibly name here but My Brett and I took photos before during and after because we promised ourselves that one day we would look around and say, “Wow, that was a bitch but it was all worth it”. And it
definitely was.

Of course there are some things I would still love to do. Someday I will have a jacuzzi tub in that huge first floor bathroom but this year I need to turn my attention to the outside for awhile.

In the meantime I have sifted through the photos that we took and thrown some of them (not all .. because no one would care but us I am sure) and created two slideshow galleries to share in honour of our one year anniversary in the house. Click the photos to view them.
